Parent Information Night
Thursday, September 17th is our Parent Information Night, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm!
This event is not our parent/teacher conferences - this is the evening where you follow your child's schedule through all 8 periods in 10 minute "classes" to meet the teacher and get some information regarding the syllabus. Since the teachers will be discussing their specific classes during these little periods, this is NOT a drop-in event, and individual student concerns cannot be discussed.
We are excited to give you the chance to walk in your student's footsteps for an evening!
Please note that this event is geared towards parents, rather than students. While students are welcome to attend, they likely won't get any new information! :)
CHANGE to Schedule for First Two Weeks
On Wednesday, September 2nd, the first day of school, freshmen and transfer students will need to arrive at the normal start time of 7:30 for orientation. Seniors should arrive at 8:30 for breakfast and activities. Sophomores and Juniors need to arrive at 9:30. We will start the 9:30 day with a 20 minute advisory for 9-11th grades, and then run all 8 classes on a shortened schedule.
On Thursday and Friday, 9/3 and 9/4, we are having all 8 periods with a 20 minute advisory following 3rd period. This will shorten the classes by just a couple of minutes.
There is no school on Monday, 9/7 for Labor Day, and there is no school on Tuesday, 9/8 for the state primary elections. When we return on Wednesday, 9/9, we have NOW decided to have 8 period days for the rest of that week, as well. NO BLOCK DAYS from 9/2-9/11!
Driver's Ed Scholarship Available
Thanks to Laura's World Fund and the Jon Simeone Memorial Fund, we would like the community to know that there is a Naydean Laura Memorial Drivers Ed Scholarship available to students who might need financial assistance to pay for driver's education. Two applicants will be chosen. Please see the School Counseling office for more information.
College Visits
The following colleges will be visiting the School Counseling office in the coming weeks. Seniors may sign up through Naviance and come any time. Underclassmen can come if the visit falls during a study hall. Please see the School Counseling office with any questions!
